Komuroyama Park

Komuroyama Park has flowers to enjoy in every season of the year. The 100,000 blooming azaleas (40 different varieties) in the azalea park are a must-see. The view is amazing, and in April it looks like somebody has spread out a red carpet over the park. The azalea tunnel which is lined with azaleas is a popular photo spot. The Azalea Festival is a large event held every year that attracts many visitors from all over Japan.
The camellia park is home to 4000 camellias (1000 different types), and you can even see rare varieties here. Around February to March there is a camellia-viewing event where you can enjoy single-flower vases and ikebana (Japanese flower arranging).
There is an amazing, clear 360-degree panoramic view waiting for you at the mountain’s summit. If you look north, you can see Mt. Fuji. If you look east you can see the boats with white sails floating on Sagami Bay. To the south, far in the distance you can see the Boso Peninsula and the Izu Islands. In the west, you can see the Amagi Mountain Range. There is a lift that goes to the mountain’s summit, which has an altitude of 321 m (roughly 1053.15 feet). You can enjoy the scenery while traveling at a leisurely pace. Also, near the mountain summit you can find the dinosaur plaza. It has 13 dinosaur monuments and large pieces of play equipment. It is an interesting photo spot and a great place to take children. If you go to the summit by lift and go back down the mountain taking the “Jurassic trail” you will be able to access the dinosaur plaza easily. There is also a boardwalk called “Komuro Ridge Walk MISORA” at the summit, which utilizes the ups and downs of the natural terrain. You can enjoy a magnificent view in every direction. From Cafe 321 at the summit you can see Sagami Bay and Izu Oshima Island. The special alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks will look great in your photos for social media.
