Minato Hachijuusan Banchi

静岡県沼津市千本港町83

Minato Hachijuusan Banchi is not a special place, but rather an everyday place that you are glad exists. This is why this dining and souvenir complex is named after its location. Enjoy visiting the various shops. Since Suruga Bay boasts the deepest ocean in Japan (with the deepest part being 2500 meters or 8202 feet deep), you can enjoy everyday fish and rare fish in both Japanese and western cuisine. Sushi, Hamayaki (seafood BBQ), rice dices, and deep sea fish burgers await! You can buy fresh seafood (which has just been auctioned off) at a reasonable price, so the facility has a lot of repeat customers. The Numazu Deep Sea Aquarium and Coelacanth Museum is the first aquarium in the world dedicated to deep sea creatures. There are 2 frozen coelacanth bodies and 3 taxidermy coelacanth on display here (the coelacanth is known as a living fossil). There is also Numazu Port’s first shooting attraction ride facility here, which is called “THE DEEP SEA WORLD -Deep Sea Kingdom-”. It really is a spot you could spend the whole day at.
