Mishima Plum Blossom Algae Village

Mishima plum blossom algae was discovered in the Kohama Pond at Rakujuen in 1930. It has thin, stringy leaves and a white flower like that from a plum tree. It likes cool, clean spring water and good sunlight.

The Mishima Plum Blossom Algae Village is growing Mishima plum blossom algae. It is a very small park in which you can admire the pretty flowers swaying in the spring water. Enjoy the Mishima spring water which feels cool in summer and warm in winter.
