Numazu Fish Market INO
静岡県沼津市千本港町128-3Numazu Fish Market INO is a fisheries complex in Numazu Port that was opened in 2007. There is an auction area with a viewing route for visitors, an observation deck, and a cafeteria. Fish like tuna, chub mackerel and horse mackerel are caught from inshore fishing and then shipped out across the country. On the 1st floor there is a wholesale market and catch sorting room. Visitors can’t enter for hygiene reasons. However they can watch from the viewing route on the 2nd floor. The fish restaurant area on the 2nd floor has restaurants with the theme “local produce for local consumption”. You can eat fish at an affordable price which have been bought at auction the same day.
