Kawazu Seven Waterfalls
静岡県賀茂郡河津町梨本As the name suggests, Kawazu Seven Waterfalls are seven waterfalls. It is written as 河津七滝 in Japanese, with the final character “滝” (“waterfall”) having the unusual pronunciation of “taru”. This colloquial pronunciation dates back to the Heian period, stemming from the word “tarumi” which means “dripping water”. In fall you can enjoy the Amagigi Fall Leaves Festival. You can rent out wheelchairs for free from each member store of the Kawazu Seven Waterfalls Tourist Organization. It is possible to go and see the waterfalls using a wheelchair.
