Ginza Shopping Street
静岡県熱海市銀座町Since it was once a central part of Atami, lots of tourists used to visit Atami Ginza Street. At the intersection at entrance to the shopping street, there is the Atami Chamber of Commerce. The building was a bank until 1975, and the retro atmosphere of the building remains even today. If you walk down the Ginza Shopping Street you will see dried foods handing from the eaves of the buildings and cafes reminiscent of the Showa Era, and you will come to face to face with an older Japan. Recently some cafes have been using local ingredients, and guest houses have been popping up, giving the area a revitalized feel and bringing travelers and locals together.
