Shimokamo Tropical Botanical Gardens

The Shimokamo Tropical Botanical Gardens use the heat from the Shimokamo hot spring, so flowers such as hibiscuses, bougainvillea, cattleyas, and dendrobium (orchids) etc. bloom all year round. There is a shop area where you can not only enjoy looking at the flowers but also buy them. There is also a restaurant and a fruit parlor. You’ll feel like you’re in a tropical paradise. Inside the greenhouse which uses the Shimokamo hot spring heat, you can find tropical fruits and plants. It is an all-weather design greenhouse, so you can visit even on a rainy day!
