Moriyamanishi Park

You can enjoy a 360-degree view from the observation deck at the mountain’s summit.
Moriyama, which is in the Nirayama district, is rich in Hojo clan-related historical sites. Although historical sites are protected and can't be accessed, the remaining areas are open as a public as a park where you can enjoy nature. The total length of the walking paths in the park is 481 m (roughly 1578.08 feet), and you can see the Nirayama district countryside from the observation deck on top of Mt. Moriyama. There are five viewpoints from which you can see Mt. Fuji. From late March to early April you can see Mt. Fuji covered in snow together with the blooming cherry blossoms of the neighboring Kano River Cherry Blossom Park. It is a famous spot for viewing flowers, attracting many visitors each year.

Nearby you can find the Hojo Clan Residence Ruins and Ganjoujuin Ruins, which are designated national historical sites. You can also find historical sites relating to the Hojo Clan, such as the well where Hojo Masako had her first bath as a baby, Koshoji Temple, and Shinjuin Temple.
